YOGA
Slow down and pause, just for a moment, close your eyes and …
Breathe slowly in … and breathe slowly out ...
Yoga is a philosophy, or way of living, that yolks or unifies the body and the mind. This can be achieved through conscious breathing, mindful movement and intentional stillness. Yoga in an ancient healing art form that has been around us for thousands of years, and has been widely embraced as one of the best ways to calm the mind, build physical and emotional strength, reduce stress, improve focus and sharpen concentration. Practicing living our yoga, can not only help us enhance our overall well being, but it can also help us discover who we truly are.
New Classes
Once the studio is officially open for community use, you can expect to see a variety of classes featured on our schedule. As our studio continues to grow and evolve, we encourage you to share your interest in additional offerings you would like to see in the future. All classes will be donation-based, with a suggested contribution ranging from $10 to $20, with the possibility of a higher contribution for longer classes that may be offered. In addition, class cards will be available for purchase, each with a 3-month expiration period to encourage regular participation. Your support is vital for fostering our wellness community and facilitating the ongoing expansion of our program offerings.
Sunrise Vinyasa (60min)
A joyous and playful way to start your weekend. A beautiful hour long class that will connect you deep into breath and body awareness. This class offers a nice balance of asanas (postures) to build strength, endurance, stability and flexibility. Feel yourself come back to yourself, leaving refreshed, renewed and empowered. ALL level yogis welcome.
Ashtanga Short Form (60min)
Ashtanga is a beautiful foundational practice that focuses on pranayama (breath control) and intentional asana (postures). Students will be guided through key poses that help strengthening both the mind and body. Students work towards building confidence, stamina, stability, and flexibility.
Restorative Yoga (2hrs)
Restorative Yoga - a practice rooted in intentional relaxation through the use of supported passive stretches (asanas) and meditation. Bolsters, blocks and blankets are often used to guide the body into positions that allow the energy channels, muscles and joints to gently relax and open up. The practice begins with a welcoming circle, grounding meditation, pranayama (breath work) and self reflection (journaling) - then moving into supported postures for deep relaxation. The class is for all levels.
