Jennifer Marriott - LMT, RYT and VT Licensed physical Educator

Jennifer is the owner and founder of Blackbird Wellness VT and has been an instrumental part of the wellness community since she was a teen. As a former competitive and collegiate athlete, she quickly became intrigued by alternative wellness as she sought out ways of healing to recover from injuries. Her recovery and discovery journey kept leading her to a combination of treatments such as: proper nutrition, acupuncture, chiropractic care, yoga, fitness, massage therapy, craniosacral therapy and more. Even though it was not one specific treatment that supported Jennifer’s recovery and discovery process, craniosacral therapy was the most profound, gentle and inspiring of all the experiences. Her injuries, especially head trauma and depression encouraged Jennifer to focus on Craniosacral Therapy as her preferred modality to both give and receive.

Jennifer has been a practicioner since 2013 - which has included self study, professional development through courses and trainings, leading and guiding yoga/fitness classes and workshops, offering bodywork therapy such as massage and craniosacral therapies and much more.

Her intention as a practitioner is to hold space for clients to rest, recover and renew their connection with self. She believes the true healing happens within; the body is very intelligent and knows what it needs. With time and space, the body discovers the truth and settles in feeling deeply connected, calm and peaceful, which then becomes the gateway of expression. Healing from an injury whether it is physical, mental or emotional takes time, dedication and compassion to one self. This process is recognized as the ‘journey’ towards understanding. Jennifer is here to support clients along the way towards discovery and is honored to be an active participant in this ever changing and evolving world.

“To me, presence is the most important part of healing... it doesn’t matter if I am working one on one with a client, leading a restorative healing retreat, or teaching a class, I see my job as a beautiful and artful meditation, and each person deserves the best of me. I can only give my best if I am present. When I do, it is remarkable to see and feel the exchange between me and the receiver.  Powerful and Blissful.”
